Day 1 .- October 13.
We arrived around 9:00 at the airport in Tijuana, Baja California Norte, where we rented a van that took us into the Hotel Corona Ensenada, we leave our luggage and went to eat some good seafood around 1:30, the end we went to the dock to see the Nautilus Explorer which would be our home for the next five days. On reaching the dock, we received a California sea lion colony that made their wolf-at the piers of the marina. We boarded the ship around 9:30 PM: Eduardo Rodríguez, Gerardo Lozano, Alejandro Alvarez, Eyal Fridman and Gaul, Edgar and I Arechavaleta. A couple of hours before boarding filled with sadness we learn that Isabel Creel could not accompany us because of health problems, who would send a warm greeting and wish him a speedy recovery.
Day 2 .- October 14.
We woke up like at 7:00 AM, midway in the Pacific Ocean between Ensenada and Isla de Guadalupe, we went for coffee and breakfast. Throughout the day we were very entertaining as we started to receive an explanation of how to use the cages, the regulation of the boat and emergency procedures in case of an accident. To everyone's surprise during our trip we met a group of over a hundred whales (sperm whales) who for over an hour delighted us by showing their tails and jumping out of water alongside the boat.
Before reaching the island, a crew member, Jessy Harper, an expert on white sharks gave us a presentation on the species that inhabit the island and some advice on how to recognize the sharks, because of its different brands in the body. At the end of the day we went down and put to sea cages to let them ready for the next morning, we had trouble sleeping because we could not sleep with excitement.
Day 3 .- Oct. 15.
We got up at 6:00 for coffee and prepare to enter the cages at 6:30 o'clock, we see that the cages were a little shaky due to waves of over 3 meters of wind-generated over 20 knots, which made access difficult to the cages. During the morning we saw a couple of sharks that timidly passed through the cages and left early, at noon we walked in the inflatable dinghy to see the different seal species that inhabit the island, including: Guadalupe Fur Seal, a species endemic to the island; California sea lion and elephant seals, these species are abundant on the island and is believed to be the main cause of the presence of great whites. In the afternoon, waves and wind down a bit and allowed us to enjoy a female shark of more than 10 feet long, that had stood for over an hour wandering around the cages. The day ended with great cuisine of chef Enrique, pleased our palates with a good crab, accompanied by a superb wine from the region of Valle de Guadalupe.
Day 4 .- Oct. 16.
The day dawned with a calm sea in the morning allowing us to enjoy a female about 3.5 meters and hovering all morning submersible cages, as appeared at 13:00 Lavon, an adult female over 5 meters long an approximate weight of 1,800 kilograms, was "impressive" and top it off was very interested in the cage in which he was Alejandro Alvarez, giving a small bite that frightened everyone, but thanks to the resistant cages, it was only a moment exciting! and finally the famous Shredder and a maverick known male who does not respect hierarchy and sizes, came trying dominate the area, but this time Lavon was imposed and not let the scarred male, took away their territory. This day in the evening after dinner a good biff, Dr. Mauricio Hoyos in biology, gave us a very interesting talk on his work with great whites on the island, its characteristics, feeding, migration and many other details on this species.
Day 5 .- Oct. 17.
This last day we went down to the cages and we are again with Lavon and a couple of sharks that were hanging around all day cages, apart from sharks, was a California sea lion, which to the surprise of all sharks chasing and caudal fin biting them, what should not be reversed? It's amazing agility and fun they have and their main predator, which did nothing but sense that the sharks used as the main factor of surprise to catch their prey. For over 9 hours spent circling Lavon cages allowing you take good photos. At the end of the day lifted the cages and sadly began our way back to Ensenada.
Day 6 .- October 18.
On the way back we saw a television presentation of the boat with all the best pictures of all that was very good, we came at 13:00 of the port and in the way to Tijuana, we go to Puerto Nuevo to eat some good tacos Lobster with flour tortillas, beans and rice. From there we headed for the plane journey home.
Many thanks to Eduardo, Gerardo, Eyal, Gaul, Alejandro, Edgar and Isabella who made this trip possible for the best place in the world to see white sharks!
We wait for our next expeditions.

I repeat what I say after every trip, every experience exceeded my expectations, was delighted with this great experience we had the opportunity to see this magnificent animal in its natural habitat. The experience of living on a boat like the Nautilus Explorer was very good, service was first, they treated us better than in our homes and had an opportunity to meet many people from different countries and cultures. Thank you for everything. We are more than targeted for the travel to continue and especially for the Great White in 2010. Thanks for everything.
Alejandro Alvarez, Mexico D.F.

The trip with the white shark is a unique experience in life is awesome feeling being so close to imposing a very impressive animal. It's something you have to experience to understand it, the whole experience from the ship that began with the crossing of about 100 whales gave a special touch.
There is a special beauty in the island than just seeing the starry sky is striking.
It was an excellent trip which I hope to repeat in different parts of Mexico and the world thank you very much for everything Gerardo
